About Me

Professional background

Coaching has been at the heart of my work as a change consultant and leadership educator over the past 30 years.

I've designed and delivered leadership programmes and partnered leaders and teams through complex change processes in a wide range of organisations including Tata Steel, Deloitte, Shell Company, Dept of Education UK, Staffordshire County Council, University of Bristol, Association of Project Management, Oxfam, a Devon-based retreat centre, and an AIM-listed technology company.

I've had the privilege of accompanying hundreds of leaders - in multiple contexts, through strategy formulation, change process design, facilitating and making key decisions, dealing with change and disruption, managing complex agendas and leading teams through innovation, restructuring, performance improvement and values-led change initiatives.

What I bring to this work

I bring deep experience of organisations, leadership and change, alongside a longstanding curiosity about, and compassion for, what it means to be human.

I've worked alongside leaders through crises, triumphs and moments of real possibility. I know the pressures, politics and practicalities of organisational life — and how work can bring out both the best and the worst in us.

Over the years, I've become increasingly interested in how we develop as human beings, not just in what we know about or can do, but how we do it. How we become less constrained by old habits and assumptions, more able to see the bigger picture, hold competing truths, and respond wisely when things get difficult. I've experienced some of these shifts myself, and know how liberating they can be.

I don't see maturity as a fixed destination, or a ladder of ascending achievements. But what I do believe is that each of us has far more potential to grow and change than we realise - and in a way that will both personal vitality, and societal health. That's what keeps me exploring this territory, and what I bring to my work with others.

More Personally

I live in Totnes, Devon, with my husband Duncan and our exercise-loving dog Cara. Our two grown-up children, with partners and a very new baby (a grandchild!), join us from time to time to hang out, reconnect and enjoy being in nature.

I'm also a regular pipe-organ player at our local church, and I sing, dance and swim regularly. Music, movement and wild waters will always be great medicines in my life.

My CV is available on request.
